This is an EXCELLENT example of one of the strengths of Open Source Development
Funnily enough it was the non-free-as-in-religion* tool which some Open Source developers use that allowed for such a quick discovery of the attack.
Kudos to Larry and his justifiably paranoid cross checks.
*Or, free as in assembly+, free as in association, free as in bearing arms, etc. There are more freedoms than speech.
+Assembly may be free, but the Assembler's not... (baaa dumm)
