Encouraging a wider view

I've said many of the same things in public (https://twitter.com/grsecurity/status/380828847790227456) and at the 2010 LSS (http://grsecurity.net/spender_summit.pdf, security != access control). Saying it to the LSS audience though I think means the message will fall on deaf ears. The kernel community has a problem of only being capable of learning lessons the hard way.
