I think it would be reasonable to assume that for something way smaller, like a single product, this could be cut down to a day or two, maybe even just hours.
Try it. Unless you are offering well-known product you'll need to spend inordinate amount of time trying to explain why you want this product and even if you'll succeed (which is not guaranteed if your are not willing to open-source your product) it'll be included in next version of the distro.
There are an exceptions (like Ubuntu Shop), but these appeared after rise of AppStores and, in fact, are trying to emulate AppStores.
