FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Robyn Bergeron to Keynote Ohio LinuxFest 2013

Columbus, Ohio - July 30. Ohio LinuxFest is very pleased to announce that
Robyn Bergeron will be a keynote speaker at the 2013 event, to be held
September 13-15 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
As leader of the Fedora Project, Robyn Bergeron is responsible for bringing
the open source community together to develop and deliver Fedora, a Red
Hat-sponsored community project. Fedora strives to include the best free
and open source technology, integrated into a Linux distribution that
anyone can download, use, modify, and redistribute. In her role as Fedora
project leader, Bergeron acts as the Chairman of the Fedora Board, and also
works closely with Fedora's program manager, engineering manager, and Red
Hat's Community Architecture team to ensure Fedora makes consistent and
substantial progress in its mission to advance free and open source
software.

Bergeron began contributing to the Fedora Project in 2009 and was hired by
Red Hat in November 2010 as the Fedora program manager. Among her many
other contributions, including managing Fedora 15 and 16 release programs,
she served as lead for the community Fedora Marketing team, organizing
release marketing for several consecutive releases of Fedora. Also
recognized as a Fedora Ambassador, Bergeron frequently travels to regional
events to speak about Fedora, open marketing, and other subjects stemming
directly from her community work.
