Then again, binary is not always totally bad. e.g. I don't have much sympathy with people who say, ooh, E17 sucks because it uses binary configuration files, given that you can transform them into textual files with edje_decc and go the other way with edje_cc. So, maybe it should have been implemented by keeping the textual files around and edje_cc'ing them when needed, but the functional difference is nil, given that you can get text out of them easily, and can get text out of *all* of them with a trivial shell for loop.
