BTW have you ever in your life heard of "taking the high road"? Maybe you should try it sometime.
I have no idea what you expect to accomplish with your posts here. You certainly aren't helping AOO gain traction with this juvenile behavior.

Well, it's nice to know that LO is keeping on merging AOO. In that regard cesarb's followup was very informative. So I think rcweir's comments certainly lead to interesting information.
rcweir for sure sounds very huffy, but he gets a beating every time he comments here, which also keeps the vicious circle rotating. Maybe regularly mentioning the appreciation for all the good stuff that's coming out of AOO would help.

As was pointed out elsewhere, if he wrote about AOO he would probably be welcomed. As it is, everytime LO goes "hey look at us how good we are" (with nary a mention of AOO), he jumps in and says "but compared to AOO they're - insert derogatory here - ...".
Yes LO is taking a lot of stuff from AOO, because they can, but they're putting lots of new stuff in. And they're up-front about the stuff they're taking - one of the major things IS replacing as much as they can of the Oracle GPL dump with the equivalent AOO Apache-licence stuff.
The trouble with Rob is that (almost, not always) every time he posts it seems a pretty blatant case of sour grapes. If he would just shut up about LO and promote AOO, he'd be accepted a lot better.

Pity that some projects, just because of pointy haired corporate mandated policy reasons, cannot do the same thing.
