You run Fedora, right? Then you have noticed how frequently they update the kernel... so I'm usually rebooting at least once a week... sometimes more... sometimes less... so shaving 10 seconds off of it would be nice. I saw somewhere that if you aren't using RAID nor LVM... with Fedora 19... it should be possible to boot in about 2 seconds... depending on the hardware of course... and the BIOS post takes longer than that... but anyway.
Eventually Fedora will be on more mobile devices and having a uber-fast boot will be seen as a must. Of course you and I might not be using it on mobile, but we too can benefit from a faster boot even if it isn't that important to us.
