Static site generators for building web sites

Well timed article for me. There's been quite a bit of publicity in various venues to all the wizzy new site generation tools, especially static site varieties. My blog uses blosxom and my site is hand-made. I've been considering options and I hadn't seen nanoc but might have to have a closer look.
