two words: bluetooth stack.
why oh why? those days (4.2.2), two out of five times I have to restart BT on my Nexus when I enter my car, just "because!"

Your comment prompted me to try my BT keyboard that stopped working with 4.2 - it works again! Yay! And the mouse no longer seems to need a dance of turning off and on and re-pairing and praying to Eris and sacrificing a chicken.

My car stereo still acts out 20% of the time.
