if they say there is a security hole somewhere, they are more or less guaranteed to be right Sure, but is it serious enough to drop everything and start shutting down some services or is it minor enough to schedule kernel update early next quarter? These are the things most readers of LWN wonder about. Some may be more technical and may care about juicy details of the bug — but these are in the minority.
