Django 1.5 released
Version 1.5 of the Django web framework is available;
new features include a new configurable user model, Python 3 support,
a lot of documentation improvements, and more; see the release
notes for details.

The django-firebird (fdb driver) is now available for installing via pypi. Just run: pip install django-firebird

Thankfully, the Django project does not give their releases tacky names! I've been working on a Django project lately and every time do a search for something Django related I'm bombarded with Django Unchained crap.

Well, they *did* chose the name of a western movie for their project; now that a reimagined -- and very well executed IMHO -- version of the same movie is out, they are surprised that the marketing for the new movie is well-SEO'd? I suggest they rent the old movie, go see the new one on a theatre, and have fun...

Hmm, while there is an older, somewhat obscure (?) western movie by that name, I don't think it's related to _Django Unchained_. Besides which, Django the project is named after guitarist Django Reinhardt who predates both :)

As unrelated as Katee Sackhoff's Starbucks is from Dirk Benedict's. And unless you say spaguetti westerns are obscure, the Django series movies are anything but.

But all of that does not invalidate my argument: when the project started, it *would* be inevitable to think about the western (the old one), and now that the new one is out... got it?
