GIMP team revitalizes astrophotography tools (Libre Graphics World)

Libre Graphics World takes a look at recent GIMP developments that refresh the application's capabilities for working with astrophotography. High bit-depth support is a major factor, but so is supporting the Flexible Image Transport System (FITS) data format and implementing key image processing algorithms.
