I think Perl 7 is when Perl really hit its stride.
I could tell you more, but the Temporal Prime Directive is not to be taken lightly.

Clearly to appease all parties involved the next Perl after 6 has to be 11, because Perl5+Perl6==Perl11.

Actually Perl5 + Perl6 is either 0 or "Argument "Perl5" isn't numeric in addition" (warnings) or "Bareword "Perl5" not allowed while "strict subs" in use" (strict).
But this sort of presumes that the future Perl 11 is a perl5 core with perl6 added to it.
