Hardly worth worrying about now.
Use lvm/evms instead.

Of course, you still have to resize the filesystem, even with LVM and its ilk...

with evms, its all in the toolset. It resizes partitions and the filesystems
transparently.

Some limitations apply. Mounted filesystems cannot be shrunk..
