Believe it or not I am a fan of systemd, just not all of it. I am not advocating using sysvinit forever, I am saying that systemd does some things that it doesn't *need* to do and does some things that are undesireable along with all the things that it does which are good. It doesn't have to be that way and the alternative isn't "exactly the same sysv system that was there before." I really like systemd's basic design, but some of the details make me want to scream. The alternative doesn't have to be a mess.
