if you mean between directories on the device, the question then becomes: what is the use case? the valid use cases we've come up with are so far all in the edge case, and so we do not optimize for it. I guess I must be an edge-case in my entirety which explains why I find your software so non-optimal. Yes, shiny new ideas can sometimes be good. But sometimes old ideas are also good and throwing them out or making them harder to access makes software worse.
