You just provided another argument against systemd: it ships with its own version of a random number generator, tightly coupled into the init system. Myth 1 demythified!
(The implementation is also pretty bad, there are quite a lot of predictable comments here…)

An amusing theory with just one small problem: LWN uses https by default. That means they consume a lot of entropy every time somebody connects to read the latest flames. All the SSL connections from a massive systemd flamewar will actually deplete their entropy pool far faster than the posts will refresh it. Not to mention the absolute foolishness of depending on user-provided information to replenish the entropy pool in the first place...
