I've used this in "iw" (http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Documentation/iw), but it turns out that it is problematic on Android, so one does well to not use such a thing in userspace.

So because Android's dynamic linker/loader isn't perfect, it's best to restrain using a feature in your software ?
