Wrong. "Not accepting" in Android right now means "we are too busy with really important stuff".
Which is justifiable, because nobody really cares about iconv() or some kind of exotic xsdstradfhdup function in bionic. Instead Google concentrates on really important stuff, the stuff that allows them to achieve 1.5M activations every single day.
If they really need that shit from glibc (which is by far the shittiest library in a standard Linux stack) then it'll be added in a minute.
