GNU sed 4.2.2 released; maintainer resigns

So we have this guy who's been maintaining various pieces of software for years that many of us use every day. And instead of thanking him for his hard work and wishing him the best, you complain about him making use of his freedom of expression (free software is about freedom, remember?)?
