The business model is licensing (some companies don't want LGPL), consulting etc. No company would do such work for fun.

I'm surprised that's a viable business. Look at how many people use WebKit for example, and it's LGPL like Qt.

? They existed before Qt, how much of their revenue is specifically from it?
