Or in other words: Programing is more of an an art than a craft (though sadly most management, and some practitioners, treat it as a craft, whith results such as this).

Here in Spain (and other EU countries) we are still firmly planted in the software factory paradigm, which suggests that software is a manufacturing process in an assembly line. The results are not pretty.Somehow managers here don't get that software is not about automation, but about automating the automation -- a self-improvement process where at each turn the layer below is itself automated.
