Greg KH has released stable kernels 3.0.57,
3.4.24, 3.6.11 and 3.7.1. All contain important fixes. This is

Upgrade to 3.7.x? Just before Christmas and leave-boxes-unattended time? Er, no. :)

Better leaving them unattended with 3.7.1 than 3.7.0 :-)

Probably, it would be best for such boxes to use either the distro kernel, or on one of the long-term trees (3.0, 3,2 or 3.4)...

Those trees too tend to get updates at inconvenient times. :)

I'm pretty happy with 3.2.y on my Macbook Pro. I even tried downgrading to 3.0.y, but it is incompatible with the latest Broadcom 4322 firmware. On the other hand, I'm now typing this under 3.7.1, which comes with codel (not that I know how to turn it on), so I guess I'm happy with 3.7.y, too.
I wonder if there is any objective or quantitative way for me to tell the difference between 3.2.y and 3.7.y on this computer...
