Linux Router Project [LWN.net]

A new Linux Router Project - LR101 was started in the summer of 2003 with the goal of developing a real hardware based Linux router. The web site is in German, but there are PDF files available in English on the site, such as this English language info sheet (pdf format).

Hi ALL !

The LR101 Project has recently released its 1. Release of the LR101 VPN Router. The kernel of this release has been changed to get most performance of the predefined hardware (VIA C3). Some features of this release are :

Internet Connection :
- PPPoE
- PPtP
- DHCP
- Static-IP
- ISDN ( DSS1, 1TR6, US )

Firewall :
- IP-Tables / Netfilter 1.2.9 (static in kernel)
- 15 predefined filter rules (lrconfig)

VPN :
- 3DES IPSec VPN with SuperFreeS/WAN-1.99.8
- ISP/VPN Failover with ISDN Backup or alternative gateway

Configuration :
To become easily to configure, a dialog based configuration interface has been developed - you're able to configure all you need with this interface.
