Interestingly, when the Blockbuster DVD failed to play this evening and I rented _Wall-E_ from Amazon, the main problem I encountered was DRM.

First, apparently Adobe has removed DRM from 11.3 and later: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=h...

Second, even using the latest for Firefox (11.2) the movie failed to play due to DRM, specifically for needing HAL. Fortunately, the Internet saved me there.

So the key question for the future is how we can either make DRM die a flaming death or else keep Linux a viable platform for streaming.
