Version 0.8.4 of SBCL has been released. This version has a different
behavior for the `--disable-debugger' command line option, adds new
compiler optimizations and fixes several bugs. SBCL now builds on the
AMD64 architecture under SuSE Linux, but it currently generates only
32-bit binaries.
SBCL (Steel Bank Common Lisp) is a Common Lisp implementation based on
the CMUCL (CMU Common Lisp) sources, but it puts a greater emphasis on
maintainability. SBCL runs under Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and Tru64 on
x86, MacOS X (Darwin on PowerPC), Alpha, AMD64, MIPS, PPC and SPARC
CPUs.
