The previous anaconda installer did too. I've seen the Debian installer so I'd not be touting it too much if I were you... including the GUI one they are still working on.

Just out of curiosity... what's wrong with Debian's installer? I rather like it.

"The GUI one" being just another frontend to the same code. Hence it not providing that much more functionality over the text mode install. Luckily that has the benefits of an identical feature set and less maintenance being required.
