Regarding the "bottle" logo at http://www.debian.org/logos/ , called "official use logo", it's so official that very few people use it, and not many more of them known it exists at all. It hasn't been affected by the license change, but discussions are ongoing to simply set it aside https://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2012/10/msg00002.... and stop promoting it.

Ugh... that was ugly. Even worse than the traditional purple spiral, which (spoken as a long-time fan) does not really grow on you.

When the Debian website itself does not use the "official use" logo, you do have to wonder whether it has much practical purpose.
