SuSE has been my distro of choice for a while now. It's not as unstable as Fedora, or as stale as Debian, or as newbie-focused as Ubuntu. A great distro.

After the mass Mandriva exodus, I happily found openSUSE after two misfires with Kubuntu and Fedora. Using openSUSE 12.1 + KDE4.8 repo, fairly problem free. KDE4.9 repo is available, as is distro 12.2 now.

They did a nice job with 12.2, working well on various laptops and desktops here...
