It is interesting what Google suggests while searching for "Apple is ", that shows the image taken shape by that department.

I also have :
"Apple is a ship with a hole in the bottom"
Which made me giggle in front of my screen.

Funny, but isn't really saying something. Try the same with "google is ":
google is evil
google is god
google is your friend
google is skynet
google is down
google is awesome
google is taking over the world
google is watching you
google is racist
Is just what people search for. Obviously, a lot of people search for "Apple|Google is evil"

Not "search for", but "write about": Google indexes content rather than previous searches. So a lot of people are saying that Apple and Google are evil. Note however that Apple's suggestions all have negative connotations, while Google's are mixed. Or Amazon's. Even the maligned Microsoft manages to get a "Microsoft is cool again". I wonder if this means something...

Actually Google uses searches not content. And it also used quite a few heuristics to offer you what you want. So Google suggestions say more about your personality then about Joe Everage.

It's a great recursive joke and highlights the dozy/uninformed.

They actually get that result from a content-sharing agreement with Yahoo ;) .
