I noticed that while using systemctl on my fedora systems that some of the aspects of administration used in systemd borrow from Solaris.

It's was a bit disturbing when I realized the similarities, but oh well.

Sure systemd has similarities to SMF; in fact, it was one of the many init systems they looked at when architecting.
