And then convince everyone else to install the latest JRE to run your package. Wait, not 1.6; it has to be 1.7. Yes, all 50+ MB of it. No, IcedTea is no good; what sort of freak are you? ARM, what's that? Wait, you don't have all the Apache Commons libraries already? Choose between the following weird installation options: as an applet (does not work on Firefox or Chrome any more; IE required), as an inconvenient .jar file which will quickly get lost, as a hacky .bat or .sh wrapper on a .jar distributed inside a zipped directory, or as a .exe generated using black arts (which won't work on your Linux system anyway).
