I believe (from reading anandtech) that Apple has had an exclusive deal in providing hardware with it (Sony's pre-Thunderbolt dock notwithstanding); I suppose that meant Intel haven't invested a lot of independent work so far, hoping for Apple to sort out most start-up issues.
