I presume someone has a copy of the tests before the removal?

From what I understood reading these articles, it is just new tests that are no longer being added, instead of removing old tests, and the source history is still available.

It looks much worse

1.The bugs database is censored, and does not provide information to users about why they should upgrade
2.The public trees under Revision Control System are mutilated. In fact, it looks like Oracle has just stopped updating them.
3.contributions to MySQL, which weren't easy before, are now made extremely harder;
4.trust in Oracle good faith as MySQL steward is declining.

And this is the moderate comment

Judging by the number of people still using MySQL, it seems they must try harder.

No worries! They probably will:)
