Kernel release status

The current development kernel remains 3.6-rc1; Linus, who has been on vacation, has not made a new 3.6-rc release since August 2. There has been a slow flow of fixes into the mainline repository, though; a new release should happen in the near future.

Stable updates: 3.0.40, 3.4.8, and 3.5.1 were released on August 9; 3.2.27 came out on August 11; and 3.0.41, 3.4.9 and 3.5.2 were released on August 15. That final set included, along with the usual fixes, the recent random number generator improvements.
