I largely agree with what you said, and particularly with the comment linux-libre is a distraction from more vital projects. However, specifically with regard to your comment that the FSF distributes binary blobs for sed, I don't think this is relevant. The FSF also distributes sources to GNU sed, and the FSF has never opposed distributing binaries provided Free source code is available.
