Well that is pretty normal. If you were to go by who is attending any talk, you would think that there were only 20 people attending a Fudcon. However all the breakout sessions, rooms with just hackers hacking and stuff would bring the number up to 200. My guess is that DebConf is similar in that most of the people attending are there to "work" with others and not attend some talk.

You do realize there were multiple sessions going on at the same time, and that people could only be present on one, right? Plus there was the hacklab too.

If you do know of a way that allows people to attend two presentations at the same time, physically, please let me know. It would help me tremendously.
