IBM developerWorks takes a long look at grid computing. "How much do you need to know about the evolving grid standards? It depends. IBM and other industry leaders plus researchers and representatives from many grid software vendors are actively involved in the work of the GGF to define the grid standards. Are you a corporate software developer? If so, then you'll use the grid tools and products that will be based on the new standards as they unfold. This is something I have run into by accident and it is facinating. What exactly is Grid Computing in laymens terms. I read also about tera grid, is that the same thing?
