James Randi, the psychic buster, has a great gimmic on his website called the Sylvia Clock.
"On September 3, 2001, Sylvia Browne agreed on the protocol for a definitive test for the JREF million-dollar challenge, on Larry King Live. This shows the number of days that have passed since her acceptance. It has been 929 days since she first agreed to take the test!"

Click on the "Sylvia's updated response" for a cheeky laugh.
(Flash can be used for good.)

Seriously tho, this would be a good technique to staledate the SCO deadlines.
