A survey of Linux audio plugins

Linux audio enthusiasts can choose native plugins from a variety of
acronyms, of which DSSI, LADSPA, LV2, and VST are the best known and
developed formats. In addition to these Linux formats limited support is
available for non-native VST plugins. In this article I'll present some of
the technical details of these formats along with some of their outstanding
examples, beginning with LADSPA.
