LWN ran an article on the big.LITTLE architecture and associated scheduling problems last February. A lot of work has been done in this area since then; now we are pleased to have an update on big.LITTLE scheduling contributed by Paul McKenney. It covers various approaches to improving big.LITTLE performance and includes information from the recently-concluded Linaro Connect event in Hong Kong.
