In my experience, using Precise on an Atom (eeePC) is not always a happy experience. In certain conditions, CPU usage goes up for apparently no reason, causing the machine to slow down a lot. One of this cases is when you are in a place with lots of wifi APs, some of which hardly reachable.
Hud appears to be among those processes taking a lot of CPU.
