Two programs based on this style of de-duplication are tarsnap and ddar. Where the former is a de-duplicated, compressed, locally encrypted backup service that uses the amazon s3 cloud, and the latter is just de-duplication based on that of tarsnap. These both have the snapshot model used in Obnam. Since ddar simply provides de-duplication, you can setup compression and encryption for the backups without much difficulty.
