LINUP FRONT GMBH PUBLISHES FREE TRAINING MANUAL FOR »LINUX ESSENTIALS« AS PDF 
AND ANDROID APP

(http://www.linupfront.com/) announces the availability of a free
training manual, in German and English, for the new »Linux Essentials«
certification published by the Linux Professional Institute (LPI,
http://www.lpi.org/). The 250-page manual can be downloaded as a PDF
file from http://shop.linupfront.com/ and is being published under a
Creative Commons license allowing unmodified redistribution. The same
content is also being issued as an Android app for tablets and
smartphones, which can be obtained free of charge from the Google Play
Store. The English »Linux Essentials« manual and the apps complement
Linup Front's German PDF version, which was published at the 2012
CeBIT fair as the first of its kind worldwide.

The new »Linux Essentials« certification is aimed at students in

supported by LPI through an extensive programme designed to increase
FOSS awareness and use in education.
