(The reality is that these days, no matter what OS you're talking about, shell == root. And that's probably even true on the most unusably locked down SELinux system.)
That's because you guys suck, and don't give a fuck about security.
It doesn't have to be that way, but you guys, through your deliberate ignoring of security, have made it that way.
It's YOUR FAULT. Jerks. Linux is not trustworthy any more in a security context, which is most clearly demonstrated by your own inability to provide secure shared access on kernel.org.
