Trustix Secure Linux Bugfix Advisory #2002-0060

Packages: setup, inetd, imap, samba
Summary: Minor bugfix
Date: 2002-07-12
Affected versions: TSL 1.5

- --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem description:
Both the imap and the samba package manipulated the configuration file
/etc/inetd.conf in their post install scripts. The imap package also
manipulated the /etc/services system file. This is not considered nice
behaviour, and we have removed these manipulations.

The new setup and inetd packages have updated versions of the interesting
  files.

Action:
We recommend that all systems with this package installed are upgraded.
Please note that if you do not need the functionality provided by these
packages, you may want to remove it from your system.

You must not remove the setup package, as it is critical for the system.
