Tasting the Ice Cream Sandwich

The bootloader is unlockable on all Galaxy Nexus phones (at least in the US, not just the HSPA+ ones from Google. My Verizon phone unlocked just fine. The problem with the CDMA phones being supported by AOSP is that Google apparently can't ship the required blobs in such a way as to support a user-managed update.

But you can unlock and root them without trouble.
