Surely just a couple of awk scripts with a php front end :-)
So what we need as the first follow-up article is detailed specifications of exactly what a small business *needs* in an accounting package. Then the many time-rich LWN readers can start a number of competing projects to implement a system meeting those needs in the hope of being featured in a subsequent article. And then .... profit!
