It's dispiriting, but understandable, to see that Roland considers arguments like 'nobody ever uses the glibc manual, thus it is useless' to be insufficient reason to encourage contributions to the documentation that everybody actually uses. (It's understandable because he was closely involved with the glibc manual's creation, so probably feels some attachment to it.)
