Actually that's not quite correct, it's more like:

(S ; T)===(T ; S)
<==>
modify(S)/\modify(T)==empty_set
AND
read(S)/\modify(T)==empty_set
AND
read(T)/\modify(S)==empty_set

or something along these lines, but the idea is clear.
